There´s a large walk in shower in the bright and light bathroom which has been tiled in Travertine marble. The bedroom boasts a very comfortable memory foam queen size double bed and built-in wardrobes. The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons, including an electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster, coffee-maker, kettle and washing-machine. Whilst the sitting room features a very comfy three-seater sofa with great views to the garden, a Smart TV with fibre optic WiFi access, hundreds of TV channels and languages, books and DVDs, a wood burner for the colder winter nights and a dining area for two. A safe is also provided for guest security.

Externally, there´s an outdoor shower for cooling off and various seating areas dotted around the tropical courtyard garden in both sun and shade, so guests can really enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. There's also a barbecue for those who enjoy cooking outdoors.

The owners have created a great outdoor dining area using an old tree trunk as a table base. And they are real garden lovers - continually improving the courtyard and adding new plants on a regular basis.

The garden provides great colour and interest all year round and hosts a wonderful range of plants including a giant Drago palm - typical of the Canary Islands - Mascarena palms, Traveller palms, African aloes, bananas, strelitzas, hibiscus, passion flower and much more besides.

Green Village

Finca Botanico is located in Guatiza, one of the greenest villages in Lanzarote - in the heart of an active farming community and in close proximity to the world famous Cactus Garden created by Cesar Manrique, which is just a short stroll away from the property.

Bars and Restaurants

An excellent Italian restaurant, Tasca de Lita, is located less than three minutes walk away. Guatiza is also home to three other bars serving snacks and tapas as well as a late night music bar with live acts.

There are lots of other restaurants located within a ten to fifteen minute radius.

Walking and Trekking

The Finca is surrounded by countryside so there are loads of scenic walks right on the doorstep. Organised treks with local guides can also be arranged on request.

The Beach - Arrieta

One of the most beautiful, unspoilt beaches on the island - Arrieta - is located just a five minute drive away from the Finca.

Teguise - Historic Former Capital

Colonial buildings and quiet cobbled streets are just a ten minute drive away. Teguise is also home to Lanzarote's largest weekly market every Sunday morning.

Cesar Manrique

The famous artist and architect created all of Lanzarote's leading tourist attractions, such as the Jameos del Agua and the Cactus Garden. And all of them are within a fifteen minute drive of the Finca, making this an ideal base for sightseeing.

Gautiza is a nice village only about 20 mins from the airport, decent supermarket with deli and fresh bread each morning, and only 10 mins walk to the cactus garden. I didn't have a car as I just wanted to relax, and I most definitely did!

The garden apartment was perfect, a great size and lovely secluded garden with many tropical plants. Great for sitting outside day or night, very relaxing. Inside is furnished in a quality way and it seems everything you might need has been thought of. Kitchen has everything, lounge very comfortable and has tv with many channels, good bathroom and the bedroom has loads of cupboard space and a good bed with comfortable mattress. Gaby was an excellent host, responded to all my questions quickly and went the extra to help me out. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want something quiet, secluded and away from the many hotels on the coast.

A stunning place to stay for our honeymoon! The local restaurants were closed on our arrival. However, Gaby purchased food for us to get us through the evening, checking any dietary issues too. The facilities in the Garden Apartment are excellent. The garden itself is gorgeous. We tried some of the recommended restaurants. In all instances, the food was excellent, plentiful and great value for money. The last comment applies to Finca Botanico just as much. I would highly recommend hiring a car. Gaby recommended CICAR and they were excellent value for money and great service too. Thank you Gaby, thank you Nick. A holiday we will never forget.

We had a wonderful stay at the finca. Very clean and equipped with pretty much everything you need for a week or 2. The garden is a dream and perfect to relax in for lazy days. Very private and quiet location, ideal if you have a car to get around. Most of Lanzarote is within a 15-30 minutes drive and there’s a small supermarket in walking distance. Gaby was a pleasure to communicate with, very welcoming and quick to respond.

We stayed for a week earlier this month and couldn't have been happier with the Finca Botanico. The front door looks very anonymous, but once inside you encounter first the glorious tropical garden with seating in the sun and shade, and then the little house itself. Very simply, there is first a living and dining area with a well equipped kitchen to the left, with a nice shower room behind and a bedroom beyond. The bed is five feet and there is plenty of storage space, although there is annoyingly no chair or stool on which to put day clothes removed at night. Gaby is charming, very helpful and responsive. Gautiza is wonderfully situated in the center of the island, so all points of interest (and there are many) are not far away. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and all the sites of Cesar Manrique and would recommend this accommodation and the island as a wonderful getaway from the sun with more than a touch of culture.

Set in a beautiful garden in a lovely quiet location but also very convenient for exploring the rest of the island. It was only a 5 minute drive to a great beach at Arrieta. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and comfortable (great shower and big comfortable bed) and the owner was friendly and helpful. We liked everything about it.

The apartment and the garden are as beautiful as the photos show. The apartment is modern, clean and well equipped. The bed is comfortable and everything works well, including wifi. Finca Botanico is ideally located for exploring the island by bike or car, especially if you want to spend more time in the northern half. You can walk to the Manrique Cactus Garden or drive to Arrieta beach in 5 minutes, and there is a good Italian restaurant within a 2-minute walk. The only improvement we can suggest would be a microwave. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Nick and Gaby have a nice little apartment for two people with a beautiful tropical garden for you to enjoy. Its location is at the end of the town, which means peace and tranquility. It was clean, well equipped and we particularly liked the wood burning stove as the nights can get a bit chilly in the winter.
